Tamagotchi Connection Version 3 Codes

The following is a collection of Tamagotchi Connection Version 3 Codes. If I'm missing any, please let me know.

This was averted on the original Connection models; the Tamagotchi is outright stated to die, turning into an egg with wings. However, it was played straight again on the English Version 5 models, where they get angry and fly away in a UFO instead. • BCBCCABA: Cost: 2000 Points.
This code gives the Love Potion. The love potion is very important. When your Tamagotchi boy and girl reaches the age of 7, they will need to become good friends before they can have children. Typically this involves connecting several times to build up the friendship up to four happy faces all the way up to four hearts. Sometimes there's simply not enough time to do this. So this is where the Love Potion comes in handy. First you feed this item to one of the adult Tamagotchi and than connect the two Tamagotchi. Select Visit. It should only take once or so and the Love Potion should make your Tamagotchi fall in love. I did not have to use the Love Potion on both of my adults, but if it doesn't work you may want to try that.
  • Secret Item:
The is a Costume. It looks sort of like a Batman costume. You can access the Costume from the Items menu. See information below for details on obtaining this item.

How to use these codes: Go to the shop and press the 'A' button (left button) several times. Eventually the shop keeper will get a shocked expression on his face. At this time start entering the key combinations above. You will only hear beeps as you enter the codes. The left button is 'A' the middle button is 'B' and the right button is 'C'.

If you enter the code exactly than you will get the item associated with the code. The first time you enter these codes you will not have to pay any Gotchi Points. But be prepared, any times after your first free one and you must have the Gotchi Points to be able to obtain these items again.

Secret Item: There is a small trick to this. When you enter all of the codes in a row, the last 7th code you enter will not yield the item I have listed above. Instead you will get a secret item - the costume. To get the 7th item you will need to enter it again.

The TamaTown Tama-Go (often simply shortened to Tama-Go) is the successor to the international Tamagotchi Connection series, first released in 2010. It features an amiibo-esque gimmick in the form of “Gotchi Figures”. While it was supposedly meant to last years as hundreds of “Gotchi Figures” were planned, it was somewhat of a commercial failure and resulted in temporary discontinuation of the Tamagotchi brand, until the 2012 release of the “Tamagotchi LIFE” brand. It wasn’t succeeded by another physical model Tamagotchi until the 2014 release of the Tamagotchi Friends.

ROM Testing

ROM test on the Tama-Go

This tests for any problems within the toy including pixels, ROM and the connection feature. It is accessed by holding 'A', 'B' and 'C' at once while pressing the Reset button. Curiously, the ROM Test refers to the Tamagotchi as “Ver. 7”, indicating that it is still considered as part of the Tamagotchi Connection line even if it was not marketed as such.

Debug Mode

Test mode

On the Tama-Go, it is possible to access a “test mode” where more features can be altered than the usual debug menu and ROM test found in previous models. In this menu, as well as allowing the player to select any character, stats and care factors deciding what the Tamagotchi will grow into can be viewed and altered. Some of the options on the screen go completely unused and appear to be part of unused functionality in the Tamagotchi.

Character selection

This allows the user to choose their character as soon as the egg hatches. Unlike previous versions, on the Tama-Go, both the player character and the spouse character can be selected.

Unused Graphics and Features

To do:
Upload the rest of the sprites. There's a lot. Here are just some of them to note.

Tamagotchi Connection Version 4.5

Many unused sprites are contained within the Tama-Go. While some of these sprites have functionality that can't be accessed by normal means, for the most part they're sprites that never found a use.

Various unused sprites

ImageDescription
An almost completely unused image on the Tama-Go, intended to be shown when figures aren't compatible with Version 7. Such figures were never released, but the Tama-Go will very rarely display this message if the figures aren't functioning correctly. This is another reference to the version number “Ver. 7”.
No idea what this could be used for.

Unused sprites intended to be displayed when the player has used 25, 50 or 100 different figures. While the functionality is present on the Tama-Go, only 12 figures were ever released, along with 2 'lite' figures that come with the Tama-Go. Since the lite figures are actually just circuit jumpers that activate data already in the Tama-Go, a third lite figure can be activated by using something like a paper clip as a jumper. This means that the player will only ever reach 14 or 15 figures by normal means instead of the 100 originally intended figures.

Unused character sprites

Tamagotchi Connection V6

Many of the unused sprites are for inaccessible characters. It’s thought that many of these sprites are placeholders for any future figure functionality.
