The Tamagotchi Connection V5, commonly referred to as the Familitchi, was the first Tamagotchi to feature raising a family. While previous editions featured two Tamagotchis making an egg, this is the first one to allow you to raise more than one generation at the same time. This version of the Tamagotchi Connection is very easy to identify thanks to its chimney-like antenna, which was a padlock design on the Japanese shells. The Tamagotchi Connection V5.5, known as Version 5 Celebrity in North America, was the second 'half' Tamagotchi release. This version adds new features to the original Familitchi, such as increased inclusion of a Tamagotchi Royal Family. The v5.5 features the same chimney-like antenna of the v5, so the only way to distinguish them physically is by shell design. The v5.5 units feature Hollywood and movie-inspired designs. Japanese units have a key wearing a crown attached to them. |
